My mom always took me here for lunch, so I kinda have a soft spot for this place. Kinda pricey dinner menu.

Can't beat the $4.99 lunch special. China Villa is in a strip mall in the tiny city of Centerline. It has the typical dark red booths and Asian decor complete with waving cats and fat Budda's. The service was fast and friendly. Everything was good except the almond boneless chicken was overdone and a tad too tough. I'd give it another try because everything other than the chicken being overdone was tasty.

This place was great! Right out of what I remember a good ol' fashioned Chinese Restaurant should be: Dark, red booths, quiet and fantastic Chinese favorites on the menu. I just bopped in for lunch because I don't do Quiznos (they measure the food on a gram scale like it's drugs or something) and there wasn't anything around and I see this sign in the window "$4.50 Lunch Special", I check my phone for the time aaaand i'm in a big red booth. Place was empty on a Saturday during lunch, but the carry out was constant. I mean like a person picking up an order every 5 minutes constant. They probably put a couple hundred into the register while I ate lunch. I got me some ABC, for those who need help: Almond Boneless Chicken. It's like a test for me to see if a place is up to snuff. Everyone has this classic on the menu, but not all ABC is the same. This one was fantastic, just the way I remember it as a kid. Gravy was thick, chicken was moist and battered to perfection and nice fluffy rice. The waitress, I think an owner, was fantastic and she took very good care of me and the chef (definitely an owner) was very pleasant as well. Get a carry-out or bring a date for some old school fav's, you can't go wrong either way.

This place is delicious. Most Chinese food places taste similar to each other but this one is defiantly above the rest. The owners are a married couple and they're so cute. But here's a tip: they have lunch and dinner specials although the only difference I see is the price. Just buy the lunch deal and you basically get the same amount.

I recently re-visited China Villa with my family after a several year hiatus. It's not that the food is bad, or the prices are high; it's just that there are several other better Chinese restaurants in the metro Detroit area. My extended family (who have all moved to warmer climates) loves it, however, so we trekked up there for old time's sake. I had the sesame chicken. It was sweet and bland, and overly breaded. The wonton soup was good (extra salty, but I like that in my won ton soup), and the spring roll was decent. The inside of the restaurant was run down (it could use a facelift), but our server was friendly and efficient - especially given that she had a party of 22 to serve.

The first time I came here was when I was a little kid in the 70s, Through the years I would return to reminisce my taste buds. I haven't been here for at least 2 years and I was in the neighborhood and thought " why not ". I got the General Tso Lunch combo to go ( Mild ), got home and dug in. It was OK but I'm Not sure if there was to much of one thing or not enough of another thing. The price was good and the portions were even better, But lacking any pzazz it used to Have. The egg roll with the plum sauce was OK, the fried rice, a tad greasier then I remember but it was alright, the chicken a little over sauced and a tad dry in the middle. and a couple of broccoli spears in the corner of the box untouched by the sauce. I did enjoy my lunch but just wished it was the old days, Maybe it was just one of those off days restaurants go through sometimes, I wont turn my back on China Villa this time, I'll check in on them again in the future and see if things have changed for the Good the worse.

Went there yesterday and to try their food because my coworkers told me they have good food. As I opened the door, the place seemed shady just because there's a small room then the actual door for the restaurant. The place seems dark which affects the customers opinion whether to stay or not. With the food, I tried their Almond chicken and Wonton soup. The Almond chicken was decent but the Wonton soup was a surprise to me. Usually Chinese food places would make their wonton balls small, theirs was otherwise. They were big and you'll surely get value of your buck. Going back to the Almond chicken, the sauce that they give has a better taste than what some of the restaurants would give you. The egg rolls actually had shrimp! Woooo! With the speed, they are average but the wait is ok. My advice would be, get the menu on your first order so that you don't have to wait. I would definitely recommend this place!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
